SharkX is an advanced official eMule mod (ed2k open source client based on official eMule - currently 0.50a) which offers additional features to advanced ed2k users. SharkX is translated to IT (i.e. English & Italian bundled with distribution). SharkX audience are ed2k users who wishes to share and not just download (download rate is limited if downloaded > 2.5*uploaded). SharkX offers high upload bandwidth utilization (with slot focus or desired balanced number of upload slots). It offers the most advanced chunks (parts) spread mechanism (Share Only The Need to clients without Intelligent Chunk Selection) as well as leechers detection and treatment mechanism (Client Analyzer). For downloading it offers advanced sources handling (AutoHL), Faster end game (Intelligent Chunk Selection and Anti HideOS). Function which are rarely used (Web Server, IRC, peer cache) were removed for reducing CPU and Memory usage (as well as lowered CPU usage while hashing complete files).

- Add optional Quick Start (including optional temp server connect for those working with KAD only)
- Add support for ed2k link with spaces in file name
- Change Client Analyzer log so it won't require verbose log anymore

eMule is still the (technically) best P2P platform, decentralized and future-proof. SharkX as such is one of the more advanced eMule modifications, featuring many great additions for releasers and average users. Worth a try.

This version is introduced as beta due to planned changes in leecher detection - no known stability issues (minor issue also with official eMule - will be fixed nin next beta / release of sorting upload queue by entered queue).
Just a short notice to anyone migrating to SharkX from other eMule (official or other mod) :
1. Clean install is desired (mandatory to anyone migrating from anything based on lower then 0.49c based), one can open rar to same directory , however make sure to save Prefernces.ini with empty content before first run !
2. If rar opened and used from a new folder, copy from previous mod / official config dir the files preferences.dat & cryptkey.dat to preserve your ed2k user id (hash) thus maintain your current credit.

Anyone interested in translating SharkX to additional langs (with or without a localized support forum / site) can contact me as taz at homepage or on official emule site as taz-me.
