This is a driver for the Sound Blaster Audigy Drivers for users running Windows.
- Supports 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Vista Operating Systems

Working nice with Audigy in 5.1 (on this moment), but has some problems when a lot of stuff loading cpu, such as CD/DVD writing (very bad!) and games (clicking in sound, when switching to and from game window). Nice try!

it's a bad try of the programers from creative...it doesn't work the 5.1 sistem on audigy sound card on Vista...nice(very bad)try...what should we do now...buy a x-fi card???should we wait for a driver for audigy in the near future???that really would work on vista...in my opinion this wouldn't happen...we should just wait and see...i really aint gonna buy another sound card...especially from creative...

The Audigy drivers seem to be right on par with the X-Fi drivers. No support for SPDIF bypass to send unmodified Dolby Digital or DTS sound to a home theater receiver, no support for Dolby Digital or DTS decoding within the sound card, and worst of all STILL no support for DVD-Audio in 64-bit Vista or 64-bit XP.
The only changes Creative Labs has been making lately to their Audigy and X-Fi drivers is the version number. Completely useless.

The reason they have these late drivers for Vista is they were stupid enough to have the previous beta version time-bombed on 1/12 leaving all of us users with dead sound.

Does it work with all Audiogy cards? I tried to install vista a few weeks ago, and 5.1 sound did not work through a coax cable to my receiver. Anyone knows if this is fixed in this version? And yeah, I agree with mapii, why on earth havent they released a fully working driver set yet? Unacceptable......

With VISTA at RTM and Having been in BETA for the past Year and a Half. Why is Creative releasing a LATE BETA Driver set? Why haven't they released a FINAL RETAIL DRIVER SET? WHY?
Because there are no serious Hardware Competitors to their Market Share! They Could care Less if the people Stuck with Audigy Cards
have fully functioning Drivers! Don't like it? Buy some other sound card. Just another slap in the face to the consumer who can't afford to always be buying new sound cards just to get working drivers (X-Fi)

For anyone who is wondering...
5.1 sound is now working in Vista. Also, ASIO 2.0 support WORKS in this driver... with Direct Monitoring.
Previous problems like being unable to change the latency to anything other than 50ms in the control panel applet is gone.
Cubase, Prem Pro, Guitar Rig, in fact all VST Instruments I've tested (and I've got a few), all report latency scalable down to 2 ms and actually work at those settings.
