SpeedCommander is a comfortable file manager. It builds on the proven two window technology and offers a multitude of exclusive features. Sort, copy, move or delete your files either using the keyboard or the mouse. It reads and creates ZIP archives, Microsoft CAB files, and fully supports ten additional compression formats. The newly expanded search feature will find files within all ten supported Archive formats. The internal file viewer displays over 80 graphics and text formats. In addition, it contains a powerful text editor with numerous extras including syntax highlighting. With the integrated FTP client, you can both download files from the net and upload your own web pages. It even integrates a web browser for you to surf the web.

The very 1st TC is from 1993. I doubt Speed Commander is older than that.
A good program IMO, adds stuff compared to TC but most of it is useless to me and it's nowhere near as fast as TC.

Given that SpeedCommander existed years before Total/Windows Commander, I'm amazed by TC's fanboy commants about how SpeedCommander is a knockoff ... :-)
(And no, no one can expect a developer to speak all languages fluently enough. Less English nationalism please!)

I've used a free version of this program for years and find that it works very well.
Lots of options and modern UI.
-1 for being way too expensive.

This looks to be quite an ordinary piece of software compared to Xplorer2 (http://fileforum.betanew...l/XplorerA/1125310745/1). Xplorer2 not only seems to be much better but is available as a free version or a USD19.95 paid version. I have used Xplorer2 for many years and highly recommend it.

From homepage of the program.
Unit Price: USD 62.11
Total: USD 62.11
[Info] includes 19% sales tax/VAT to USD 52.19: USD 9.92
Delivery: License key
Does not match what this site say's it costs, nearly twice as expensive.
