   Well, seen this one creep up around where I live, currently this is apparently infecting a mchine at the rate of 1 every 30 seconds or so. The program worked on two machine, fail on 1, so overall it's work while. Good firewalls help stop this though

   WRFan --> I see why you were unemployeed and had to take a job you didn't want. I'm sure the feeling is mutual between you and your employeer, I doubt they really want you either. If you're going to be a computer programmer you should act professional. If you're company is loosing 1000's of dollars because of a problem you shouldn't be celebrating - you should be loosing sleep until you fix it!
   If yer resume ever comes my way I'll be sure to put it though the paper-shredder as soon as I get it.

   don't remove this virus! IT ROCKS! I just took a job at a firm, for a couple of weeks, during the holidays. The job sucks, but I needed the money. But yesterday the whole firm was infected with this virus - not only the office in my country, but also the offices in the US, Russia, and other countries. ALL computers broke down, nobody could work any longer, so I spent the day reading books, instead of working. And I assure you, Pushkin is much more interesting than my stupid job. And today? Our stupid computer repair team failed to remove the virus, so it still lurks in there, searching for new victims, nothing works yet, and I spent another day reading books. lol. That's real fun! BIG Thanx to those, who wrote the virus, and a humble request: please write a couple of new viruses and infect my firm all over again so that I can finish reading the book. I only have 200 pages left. 2 or three little viruses should be enough. However, please try not to infect my private computer I have at home. lol. That would be less funny.

   CPUGuy - you have a point about patches, they should always be kept up to date. Firewalls don't help much with this one tho', we suspect that some of our users have brought the worm in on laptops which they have plugged into the network. If the source is inside the defences, the firewall aint going to stop it!

   Or perhaps you could, oh, I don't know, keep your system patched? The patch for this worm has been out for a month.
   
   Or maybe even perhaps get a properly configured firewall?
