TakeStock is a powerful, easy to use personal portfolio manager that allows you to track US and international stocks and mutual funds, get real-time (when possible) quotes and historical prices, view and compare stock charts, obtain company information, and read business news. It is a secure and free alternative to fee-based portfolio management services and commercial desktop products.
No
- A change in Yahoo Finance's data format prevented TakeStock's symbol finder from working and prevented portfolios from being updated if they contained an index entry. TakeStock now works as expected
- If a security's last trade value is not available, its previous close value (if available) is now shown in its place, prefixed by "c"
- TakeStock now automatically checks if a new version of the software is available, every 7 days. If a new version is available, an informational message is displayed. The new version is not automatically downloaded

Great simple program for tracking one or multiple portfolios. Obviously Tscar13 must not trade on the markets or probably doesn't even own any equities.

I own a few stocks, and this program lets me see where I stand. Great freeware!

Great freeware, and no need to install so this is a "portable app" that can reside on an USB device ;)
As it has already been mentionned : need a proxy setting to be perfect.

Magical stock portfolio manager. Just waiting for proxy server report--till then I'll have to use it only at home.
