Task Killer is a program intended for quickly terminating applications. For example you may "kill" (unload from memory) halted application by clicking on the Task Killer icon in taskbar and choosing halted application.

    It's a nice and handy utility, but the former shareware price was just nuts. As freeware, it's worth using.
