BS!. I just grabbed "the cleaner v5 free ed".
Very cpu intensive to start and the live update is better than browsing to this page for sure.
Only diff between this & the share vers., is the share version has multiple editors and context menu abilities. All Spyware, Adware, Worm, Keylogger, Malware, & Rootkit detection removal are same. As well, the advanced gui is disabled and so are scan path options. I had to stop after c drive-took about a half hour to scan 12.9 GB on my slow AMD.
Whether or not it actually removes problems from a system is another story-I didn't have any.

what I find disturbing is that this trojan definition update is tagged as being freeware.
the main program is shareware and limited, so that you actuallay can not remove anything without buying the software.

The Cleaner is an Anti-Trojan (AT) program -- NOT an Anti-Virus.
The poster who commented that these are Cleaner updates & not The Cleaner itself is correct. However, those reading about an update might be motivated to try the program itself, so a review is appropriate IMHO.
A review of Anti-Trojans, including the Cleaner, can be found HERE.
As you will note from the above linked review, The Cleaner is a very good AT but there are better choices. I would rate TC at 3.5, but that can't be done here so (in the interest of conservatism) I rounded it down.

Complimentary a/v cleansing tool. Recommended update.

You all seem to rate the actual program while this are just the anti-trojans definitions! and don't compare The Cleaner with an anti-virus because they are two completely different things. I like TC and the fact that they update the definitions (database) almost daily!
