This is the most amazing player I have ever used. It plays 1080p videos super smooth, as video wallpaper, on my lowly 128MB GeForce 4 card. I cannot do this with VLC as video wallpaper, it doesn't even come close.
Soon to be available player from the same people.

First of all.
TCMP is 'Freeware' if you don't need it as an DVD Player.
Also, if you donated about $10 (Which is not much) you can also play DVD's. (PowerDVD is much more expensive).
I Find it much more usefull then bloated Winamp.
It has the same kind of interface.
It has lots of plugins.
And even some Winamp plugins can be used.

The sound quality is excellent.
The video player is the best I've seen.
Customizable hotkeys are always a plus for me.
All features are free and fully functional forever, except for the DVD Player, which I don't need.

why should i pay for it, when i can get everything i really need with foobar?
great memory usage, looks like winamp - full of useless jingles

Absolute poison on my system:
(1) Wouldn't play anything - froze whenever I tried to open a file or playlist.
(2) Used 27Mb of memory even when not playing anything.
(3) Associated itself with file types in direct opposition to my wishes.
(4) Left 30 entries in my registry after being uninstalled.
Good riddance!
