Solid and straight-forward. This does what it is built to very well. Text, images, tables. If you need to copy and paste, TPP can archive it well. Been using it for years without any issues.

Arnvid is right. It's too bloated, and defeats the purpose. The latest Freeware version is near to perfection. If you can't find it, there's a clone called "Bark" something-or-other. Just search on Fileforum and you will find it. It's nearly as good as the original Treebark Freeware version. Hey Arnvid, that Ritalin was really working, eh buddy?

Yeah, but most people don't know what they are looking for. This is pretty easy and straight forward.

Don't know how to say this, as I truly want to give Treepad a rating of six, but end up with four. Why? First of all since Treepad freeware version is what I consider the ultimate file storage program. Because it's freeware?, no - but it helps ((-: Fact is that the freeware version is totally without gadgets, and I store ALL my important data in Treepad. Have done so for years, important email and other documents are stored here in plain text. Never any problem with the good old Treepad, but then Henk is a master software developer as well. There are tons of other data storage programs giving you tons of gadgets, useful and not useful. For me the most important is that when you want to have the most important data stored, then you don't store it as rich text or html. Why? Well if you should store 20'000 balloons, would you blow them up before storing them? Well, don't blow up your data either; you need it without the air to store them in the smallest possible file. Last part very important for backup storage, transferring of the data file over the internet - and so forth. You need the balloons as your data as small as possible for storing. After looking through the update file and trying the new Treepad Plus SHAREWARE version, it looks like the major update is html functions. Great for those who need it, but I will have my balloons and main data files without extra volume for storage. So for me, the last freeware version is still the best and most reliable file storage software I every tested. This new version is not for my use. But get it down, get amazed - maybe you don't have the ton of datafiles as me - or maybe you just plan to have the best balloon party around?
