Trillian is a multi-network chat client that currently supports IRC, AIM, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo! Messenger. It supports all of the features you've come to expect from a good IM client, including but not limited to docking, multi-line edit boxes, buddy alerts, multiple connections to the same medium, a powerful skinning language, easy importing of your existing contacts, skinnable emoticons, logging, "global" away/invisible features, and a unified contact list. Trillian is completely free with no nag screens or built-in ads.

Reviewing 0.74 Patch D (Feb 19, 2003)
I've tried trillian and trillain pro, neither have impressed me. It certainly has improved, as most software does, but it's not quite to the point where I would use it on a day-to-day basis. Not only that but the skin selection is pretty unexciting.
Reviewing 0.74 Patch D (Feb 13, 2003)
There are a few problems with trillian. ICQ contacts aren't uploaded to the server, it's difficult to add people to invisible/visible lists and to un-ignore people. However, trillian uses less resources than ICQ, Yahoo, MSN or AIM by themselves. I love trillian and will continue to use it. :)

All in one chat client, connects faster and with the new patches, things are working smoother. The pro version is an advantage for serious net talkers though.
