TurboLaunch is a fully configurable tool-bar style application that can be set up to run many programs and perform certain pre-programmed actions. Like a toolbar, pictures are used to distinguish what a button is configured to do. TurboLaunch automatically uses the default icon, but you have complete control and can change the icon to whatever you want.
- When changing screen resolution, TurboLaunch should stay stuck to the same edges of the screen. This should not only work when changing resolutions while TurboLaunch is running, but also when you change resolutions while TurboLaunch is closed

I've been using this program since the late 90's! It is the most used utility on my system, by far.
I don't believe it compares to those "dock" programs. Only Drag Strip (origins on the Mac) is equivalent, as far as I know, and then even it is missing some of the functionality of TurboLaunch.
I hesitate to call it a Start menu replacement, but that's really what I use it for the most. I also keep a tab with my frequently used documents.
I have it bound to Ctrl-` so that I can call it up at any moment.
Very, very handy.
