UltraTagger is a user-friendly utility used to manage the tags found in MP3 files (ID3 v1 and v2), rename, encode, decode MP3s, and more.
- Automatically generate a playlist file name when creating a playlist (see the new tab dedicated to playlists in the options)
- Reading tags from filenames using underscores is now possible
- Buttons now insert text at cursor's position in the options window
- Fixed bug when reading v2 tag genre if the genre is in Winamp format (v1 genre between parentheses)
- Fixed v2 tags not being deleted when saving from freedb with the option to overwrite checked
Reviewing 2.1.1 (Mar 4, 2003)
Excellent tagger! I use this for making changes to multiple files at a time. The one thing I'd like to see is the ability to change the format of the HTML export function. If I have to get do that level to find fault, you know it's an excellent tagger!
I had used TagScanner but it has problems with the Genre if you use WMP 9 and WMP 9 updates tags. Plus TagScanner has no ability to mass tag files.
Try this, clean interface, works well, and best, the author actually pays attention to users!
Reviewing 2.1 Beta 5 (Jan 19, 2003)
Good program, does what it is supposed to and is not bloated with useless stuff.
clean easy interface, unlike for example MP3 Tag Studio that would make a nightmare to lead a directory with more then 10 MP3 files.
Try this one and you will like it, not free but worth it.
Reviewing 2.1 Beta 1 (Oct 8, 2002)
The file tree is a good addition, it's quicker for loading albums organized by folders.
About K-MP3, be aware that it may be free but is adware (red-v), and it doesnt uninstall even if you remove the program.
Reviewing 2.0 Beta 4 (Aug 13, 2002)
I don't know about you but I like it. It does well what it's supposed to do, quickly tag albums and rename. I hate bloated apps and a tagger isnt supposed to look like ms office hehe.
