Excellent software. Only lack of aplication is that can't scan inside iso images. Also, it would be nice to make search window to be on top, or possibility to see only search window when aplication is minimized. I have used ADC, but whereisit is the best cataloging software.

Best Catalog Software I know of and really easy to use and find your stuff again. @beer that states the Author has humor :) btw. took me some while to stop laughing. jorgosch has right. you did not understood the concept or at least misunderstood something here. CD/Media is not a Catalog, a Catalog contains several CD/Media. so your 100's of CD's you can put in ONE ore Several Catalogs. depending if you want to organize it a little bit.

After using Advanced Disk Catalog (Elcomsoft) for many years, I am totally sold on WhereIsIt - it deals easily with a humongous collection of 500GB's, extracts interesting information on files and is reasonably fast. Simply the best! (Regarding some comments further down: A catalog can contain many disks. Unicode is supported.)

@beer 100 catalogues? I honestly don't think you've grasped the concept of this program or of cataloguing software in general...
