   I use this set of DVD ripping & authorzing tools --- DVD Ripper + Video Converter Pro to rip DVD and convert audio & video with amazing output quality; DVD Copy to decrypt the CSS region protection and copy DVD to ISO or backup DVD to another DVD Disc, DVD9 to DVD9, DVD5 to DVD5 and DVD5 to DVD9 without quality loss; DVD Creator to burn my own DVD by merging all kinds of my own audio & video files.
   
   This DRM Media Converter is also in my reserve for removing authorize license and converting music video movie formats, for that DRM-protected .wma / .m4p / .wmv / .m4v / .asf and most other regular audio & video files like M4P, M4B, M4V, WMV, ASF, WMA, MP4, M4A, AVI (Divx/Xvid), MOV, 3GP, 3G2, CD.dat, DVD.vob, h.264, HD(.m2ts; .tp; .trp; .ts), HD(.mp4; .wmv; .asf; .mpg; .vob; .mov; avi), DV, NSV, NUT, RM, RMVB, FLV, FLAC, AIFF, SWF, MPG, MP3, AC3, OGG, APE, AAC, WAV, MKV, MKA, etc.; this Protected Music Converter does great job too.

   Helps you. The other s are not professional.
   It makes your eyes understand real movie standarts.
   There are freewares and sharewares. If you have one of them your machine will stand alive.Which one if you have windvd plus. I have one from ibm laptop works fine and keeps my laptop young and helps me. You dont need to install any codecs. No trouble yes succesfull.

   I've been using WinDVD for some years now, and I have to agree with some of the reviews previous to mine. For one, a 180 meg download is ludicrous. Once installed, the program comes up way short in function. Open source always opens to the same location even if you store your movies elsewhere, and there is no place to set that. Second, I never understood why the Interactual player gets installed along with WinDVD since they both play DVD's.... am I missing something here? Finally, the installation size compared to something like VLC or Media Player Classic, or even Media PLayer (installed already with Windows) is insanely large. Download a codec pack like K-Lite which is half the size or smaller, and all the codecs you need are installed to view DVD's, Xvid, Divx, etc etc.
   
   Avoid this. It's so not worth the shareware nags, or paying the high price to clutter up your System.

   WinDVD stopped being a good product many years ago.
