Winamp Cover Notifier is an alert that will show a CD's cover and music name everytime Winamp starts a new song. If no picture is found, a default picture will be shown. The alert will be shown next to the Windows' clock.

There are other tools out there that do better. Toaster, CoverTag, NowPlaying.

This is a very good idea, very good little utility. It's nice to be notified of the album coming up or to call it up. I made my alternative art name "cover.jpg" and that doesn't offend me to change the jacket front name to that. I do keep all my albums each in a separate folder so it fits my database.
It's the kind of utility that I will probably consider an essential in about 6 months and as I get more conscious of saving album art.

very young and promising program;
it could nicer if:
in plugin form,
fade-slide (in & out) time selectable,
read images embedded in idv2 tags,
bicubic resize of image,
selectable size of shown image,
selectable position,
auto-adaptable to current skin
it's compatible also with media monkey (version 2.3.1.842 for sure), good!!!

Good program idea but i hate how it forces you to organize your music a certain way, folders with a folder.jpg file in each... i like just having the album art embedded into each file... maybe for a future release :)

[Developer]: Please note: This program is useful if:
1.1. You use Winamp 5 (should work with 2.x too);
1.2. You organize your musics in folders (e.g. one folder per CD);
1.3. In each folder you save the CD's cover following Windows XP pattern: folder.jpg
In addition, the image can't be hidden or something similar.
