Write! is a minimalist Word Processor with Markdown support, productivity counters and multitab writing. You can think of it as a lightweight combination of a distraction-free editor, Evernote app, a bit of Wordpress post editing UI, some formatting features of Word, and even some IDE mechanics, from which we borrow how auto-complete or text folding works.

Minimalist is correct! There is almost nothing, like a blank piece of paper with a few grey lines, and not of the college rule type.
I looked around, saw the incredibly short list of customizations, realized it was not possible to turn off the stark white look, and uninstalled immediately.
Very heavy install size for such a minimal program [~140MB]
My appeal to the Metro crowd, but then, it should weigh in at less than 20MB fully installed. Both PolyEdit Lite and EditPad Lite do much more, with a much smaller foot print. [Considering it installs the C++ 2013 libraries, the main program should be positively minuscule. It is not...]
