Xerox Global Print Driver significantly reduces IT involvement and eliminates the need to download individual printer drivers for each product. This truly universal printer driver lets users print to virtually any printer or multifunction printer - even to those made by other manufacturers.

The Xerox Global Print Driver is actually several
32 Postscript
64 Postscript
32 PCL
64 PCL
and then there is the mobile driver that lets one select printer at time of sending.
It works, but may restict options - I found if one tries to use the feature to query the printer it can reduce options - for instance my Docucolor 12 could then only see black and white options.
For a link to all drivers http://bit.ly/bh4cxB gets you the Xerox site.
Still if you've moved to Windows 7 or Vista and your printer is no longer supported this is better than an anchor for a printer.

So far So Good. Tried on HP 8000N / 9000N / 9050's and Deskjet 6980.
This should make things a bit easier. Worked from XP and Vista OS.

I do believe this driver is for postscript only printers, which most networked laser-printers are.
Worked fine with our Lexmark Optra S1855.
We don't have other printers to test on, so keep this compatibility list going here. ;-)

Detected Canon network copier/printers; however, errors when printing.
HP Jetdirect printers all worked great.
2 out of 5 because does not function as advertised and annoying EULA every time I run it.
Things To Improve
Let me check "Accept" once. Need a command line version and ability to add more than 1 printer at a time.

I'm sure it would be wonderful if it worked, but yes, it seems it does need Postscript compatibility. It correctly recognised, but printed (postscript) gibberish on my network HP Officejet, and couldn't find my Epson Laser on a print server.

Looks like you need a Postscript/PCL compatible printer, ie. many lasers, not most inkjets. System req's page states:
* Industry Standard PostScript (Level 2 & 3)
* Industry Standard PCL5c/5e
* Industry Standard PCL6 (2.x, 3.x)
