Im sick of everyone complaining about why it requires Media Player 7. everyone, just sit back and think for a bit.

MP7 is only used for its codecs. microsoft does not allow you to use the codecs without the player, so they can't include the codecs with their player. MP7 isn't in use, its the codecs.

I have been using yahoo beta 1 since it came out, it's been very stable and I have no complaints.

Beta2? They don't include a readme or provide any online documentation that easily available that explains what's new in beta2. Most "beta" updates show fixes or new features. Other than Full Screen video support, I've been unable to locate the differences in beta1 and beta2, does anyone know?

    Gheesh People.....
it only uses Media Player for the Windows Media formats. (asf & asx ?!?!) and it installed them itself... I like the interface in the fact that nothing it carved in stone, buttons & displays are movable. but it just seems a bit too resource intensive for me right now.... I'll stick with WinAMP for my music, and Media Player for my videos....

It requires only a version of Media Player. I for one like the interface and simplicity - a major reason I like what Yahoo! brings to the table in almost all of its offerings. Version 2 will be great as long as they don't try to do too much!

It's totally stupid if you have to install WM7 in order to use Yahoo Player!!! What's the point?!
WM7 does the job correctly so why bother with something else...

It requires Microsoft Media Player 7 to be installed so if you are anti-ms or anti-ms media player 7 then you should stay away from this player.

I think i speak for everyone when i say that yahoo should stick to being a search engine. I mean, what are they trying to do with a million other mp3/media players out there? Well, that's just my two cents..
