Yahoo Music is absolute trash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing I like about this software. There is no comparison to MusicMatch. I used Music Match since about 2001. It worked very well. The Yahoo product is not even in the same league as MusicMatch. Itunes is okay but it really only likes music from CD's or tunes downloaded from their site. My old stuff on my hard drive that is tagged, Itunes does not recognize. This is where the problem lies with all of the media players. They need to develop one that is impartial to music wherever it was downloaded from and make it user friendly. It that does not occur these guys are doomed to failure.

I don't think there is enough room to list all of my dislikes here. But I will make a partial list.
No more volume leveling capability.
No longer can I set the time between tracks. When I burn a live album I do not want spaces between tracks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also paid extra for my MM lableing package it worked great!! Oh yeah it is gone in Yahoo Music.....but wait....now I get messneger.....oh goody!!!! Dopes... Bad idea guys!

look at the screenshots while you can. This kind of crap software represents the DRM-laden past.

Your grand-kids are going to laugh at you when you tell them that we let companies hold our music collections to ransom, like "keep paying us or your music files will stop working".

It's garbage like this that fuels the astronomical levels of music piracy on P2P networks.

WTF? Has nothing to do with the good old MMJ!!! Where are compilations/various artists albums? No customizable sorting? Slooooow. Just to name a few...

Stay away from this crap and download oldversions of MMJ here:

^^^ does not seem to work anymore, asks for login.

But old versions still exist!

I want my MusicMatch back! I found it stolen from my hard drive - just plain missing - gone!
When I tried to doenload it again - Yahoo! took its place - and it's a mess - all my saved playlists were also gone. Yahoo is not a user friendly thing and it's slowing down everything else on my hard drive. I'll have to delete it - and use something else. I just can't tolerate the non-sense.

Tagging is very poor, and often incorrect.

I have tracks that it displays incorrectly, yet MMJB, Foobar, DR Tag and other display correctly.

For example: Artist is 'Blink-182', but YMJ displays it as '03 Blink-182'. 3, incidentally, is the track number. I have looked at the header of the file, and the track number is nowhere near the artist string, the tag order in the header is: artist album title track no.

And it is very very slow.

And it crashes.

BTW: I have tried it on 4 PCs, one of which is brand new, and apart from XP, only has YMJ installed, yet it has the same problems.
