Yakoo manager is new a media manager. Currently only divx management is supported. This software lets you make a virtual library of all your Movies / Divx on your computer or on your storage devices (USB keys, external hard drive). Inform the directory where you store movies / Divx, it will automatically add your Movies / Divx with all their description (synopsis, actors, directors, film frame). This avoids having to add all your movies one by one. Everything is automatic.

    Installed and ran on Windows 7 64 bit. Conceptually this application is a good idea, the interface leaves something to be desired though. Absolutely not intuitive at all. As I use "All My Movies" I was able to compare the locating of appropriate description ability and found that Yakoo failed to find nearly 50% of the descriptions and 90% of the artwork.

    As I said, I like the concept, but it fails in implementation.

    I simple do not trust apps like this. Allthough it seems to be handy, nobody knows what will happen with your outbound-connection and ipadress sharing your whole moviedatabase.

    I must make a point here and that is big brother holding all your information which maybe legal or not.
    Much the same as Google tracking everything which can be got to by the Gov with little work.
    Sorry, not a chance!
    Will use all the programs available already and for free before I turn my hard drive over to anyone!
    Anyone that values their privacy do not bother with Yahoo or Google!

    Able to install the program, unable to start it (crash, win7 x64)
    4 stars because may be a x64 compatibility problem and because this program 'may' be the program I'm searching for (managing divx)

    For the next beta release, the software will be totally UAC and x64 compliant.
    Also, the automatic system for adding movies will be improved. Currently (development tests), I've got 85% of success match, less than 5% of multiple match that asks the user to select the right match, and around 10% of miss-match (due to strange filenames or really similar movie names). Those tests have been done over 150 movies.
