   I dumped Symantec for avast about two years ago and have never regretted it. Side-by-side test against MS One Care and avast blows it out of the water.
   
   These stand alone detect and clean programs are always very useful especially if you are not sure of the cleanliness of any given computer. Run this ti clean it and then get avast installed to keep it that way.

   avast has been working so well for so much longer than any other security i've run.
   including Defender, CA and Norton ...it's nice to not even have to think about it
   i might download it just because i admire the company so much ....
   anyone that has gone thru the h*** of uninstalling Norton can appreciate avast

   Hard to tell just how good it is when you don't have any viruses, but if it's from the folks who wrote avast!, it has to be GREAT. Been running avast! anti-virus for several years and it's tops in my book.
