e-Paint is a paint application that embodies a rich selection of popular drawing and image-editing tools without attempting to squeeze every imaginable painting function in there somewhere, just so it can say it has them. It provides robust painting functionality, but it won't burden you with innumerable features to click through to perform simple tasks. It has a very short learning curve. Features include a variety of selection tools, antialiased drawing and text, a gallery of image processing filters ranging from tastefully subtle to breathtakingly wild, multiple document handling, soft brushes, local undo, variable magnification and an intuitive user interface – you might not even need its extensive, accessible documentation, and tutorials.

This program is ok, but ArtRage is awesome and the pro version is $25 and worth every penny.

What a great little program ! Has all the funactionality that I need in a quick paint program, and best of all it is not bloatware ! I played around with it and was able to create a new skin for the upcoming Freedom Force game quite easily. Normally, I use photoshop for this, but I may just use ePaint instead. Very easy to use if you have used any sort of paint program before, and it blows away paint shop pro. Even if you haven't used a paint program before, you will find this easy to use.
