With Google Desktop and gdSuite, you can instantly find emails (from Outlook and Outlook Express), chats (in AOL and AOL Instant Messenger), and web pages you've viewed in Internet Explorer. Plus, you can can find any file by filename and can search inside Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint files.

    Sweet! Exactly what Google and all those other desktop search apps lack. The ability to search for filenames on the PC itself. Now lets hope this add-on doesn't suck. :)
