i.Mage is a small and fast graphics editor slanted towards easy pixel editing, ala DPaint from the DOS/Amiga days. It is not designed to compete with the other graphics programs out there, there are plenty that do a much better job than i.Mage. However, it starts in under a second and it does a lot of the mundane jobs of image editing quickly and without fuss.

yes its fast, 1 sec start
buggy
needs alot of improvement
- the scale buttons mess up the image view
- not consumer oriented with weird interface
- programming lingo: xor, and, or
- dialogs that maximized to the whole screen (brightness contrast)
- why install?

Interesting! This is a very compact and portable pixel editor. Unzip to a folder (I used 7-zip) and run it. Pixel editing is quick and easy. Tools are a bit small, and it badly needs a standard color picker. A few minor improvements to this program, and you have a solid 5.
