Reviewing 0.3 (Jan 29, 2009)
Very promising tool for sure. I have been looking for free software with format / tags reading capabilities. However, still a lot of work to do. For example I would be happy if it could read the title from the disc label. Possible solution would be to reverse the order of dialogs that pop up upon media adding: First you would have to pick the folder to add. Mcat could then fill the title information from the CD / DVD label. In the second dialog the user could correct or fill in the missing info... Another thing is the .net requirement but that's probably not going to change, so I better get used to it.
I cross my fingers for the project and wish the author good luck.
Thank you for taking your time to write a review, to actually make some very pertinent suggestions and, last but not least, for your kind words.
Proposing CD/DVD label as media title already got coded for the next revision, now heading for freedb integration.
