mfNotePad is a utility to replace the yellow post-it notes around your monitor. It appears as a thin line on the edge of the screen. Each file has its own color that you can set. You can add up to 20 files and you can also use it as a program launcher. Left click and hold on a color opens the text editor temporarily, Right click makes it stay open. You can set a windows hot-key to open the last file edited. Rich text format support (RTF fonts, sizes, colors, lists, bold etc.) You can search through all of the files and set bookmarks. You can encrypt your text files with a password, so no-one else can read them. (With an option to auto encrypt if computer is idle). Press F1 (in the program) to get more info.

    So far I'm liking it. Simple program, but does what it needs to. Like the way it auto hides on the edge of the screen. This makes it convenient to access you don't have to go to the tray to show/hide like you do with most sticky note programs.

    Good and simple idea, with a fair implementation in Visual Basic 6.
