vEmotion is an IM add-on with which one can set background music for an IM call and simultaneously send voice emotions/sound effects to partners. Supported IMs include Skype, Msn, Gtalk, QQ, AIM and Yahoo Messenger.

    It won't record skype, even though it is advertised all over the place.

    It would record voip but only 3mins, unless you pay (this is not freeware)
