Did you buy x64 but find that almost nothing will play in MediaCenter? Do you want to watch your favorite video's in MediaCenter? These package is tested on Ultimate x64. It is a fully functional standalone installation which may be included in an unattended environment using the switch -ai. The Codec Package is the only supported 32bit package to use in conjunction with this installation. You will experience reduced functionality using any other package. It is fully uninstallable through the Windows interface. Windows x64 is required.

unless you want to use built-in media player (worst player in the universe) and use its direct-x capabilities (which this codec improves) you don't need this bloatware...

as has been said, get mpc HC or VideoLAN (I prefer the former) which have all codecs inside of them and you can even select which one to use.

there was an age where divx was a new word for almost every other player out there, but now vast majority of players can handle everything, and if it can't, this thing will NOT help you.

it will just make your system feel more "fatty"

I used their package with success on Vista 64 and this package on Windows 7.
Both of them worked flawless as long as you can read instructions and follow them closely.
So, I think it's safe to ignore comments from novice users or trolls.

use mplayer or vlc, they have built in codecs.. much more stable and WAY less of a mess to clean up.

If pcexpert ever pulls his head out of his a** long enough to realize you cant plagarize a codec he would actually have an opinion that mattered.

maybe he should start with an education so he could at least spell properly.
