xiftp is a ftp client currently in beta testing. It supports Python scripting, queing, drag drop, and all the features you would expect from a pro ftp client.
- fxp support
- Download splitting

while this is a good ftp client, you should check out smartftp. It's free and it rocks. Best free ftp client whatsoever.
Reviewing 0.10 Beta (Nov 26, 2001)
This client is getting better with each release. It quick, it's clean, it's lean
(I can't really comment on the scripting element myself, as I know nothing about Python)

This is seriously cool... An FTP client with a proper scripting language like Python. I don't think there's anything better an app can have than a scripting language to make it customisable (e.g. mIRC, which I've used for years because of this). This is a great client even if you know nothing about scripting, too. It's come a long way in functionality and usability since 0.0.1... And if it didn't kick bloated CuteFTP and "registration paranoid" BPFTP back then (which it did)... it certainly does now.
Reviewing 0.0.1 Beta (Oct 12, 2001)
This is a pretty decent FTP client.
Despite it being version 0.0.1 I find this to be pretty stable, very fast, and works a treat for me.
I get the impression that the buttons/interface will be tidied up at a later stage (although I personally don't have a problem with them the way they are!)
I think this could a be a really winner in ftp apps: It's small, it's fast and already has some nice features, clean concise interface.
Nicely done!
