  1. Review - Ad Muncher

    4.72 Build 30400 (Jun 5, 2008)

I take back my review from last year. Ad muncher used to be a fairly quickly updated program feature-wise but that has since stopped. As pointed out by several reviewers below, features like gzip, ssl, http 1.1, per site and various other features are being pushed to the way side. Not good, not good at all. All the 1/2 ratings are appropriate now in my eyes.

  2. Review - Directory Opus

    9.1.0.3 (May 29, 2008)

  3. Review - Eraser

    5.85 (Oct 29, 2007)

Was "top class utility" before the current "maintainer" (and I use that term vvvvvvery loosely) took hold of it. Now it's just a problem-riddled joke.

  4. Review - Registry Workshop

    3.0.1 (Oct 7, 2007)

I have used Registry Workshop for years, and have found it to be the best of its kind. Support is good, and bugs are fixed quickly. A wonderful utility, worth every cent.

  5. Review - World Wire

    RC1 (Aug 18, 2007)

If you think this program is worth a 4 as it is now, then there can be no hope for it. What you are saying is that there is minimal room for improvement, which--as has already been pointed out--is far from the truth.

  6. Comment - OpenOffice tests show it's progressively getting slower

    RC1 (May 30, 2008 - 12:39 AM)

The quality of open source and their commitment to defeating the problems they advertise as prevalent on the windows software side of the house is finally showing through. I guess F/OSS software doesnt mean that it is faster or lighter than anything windows commercial programmers can offer. This just continues to emphasize that point.

  7. Comment - Researchers: Bugs in open source software are waning

    RC1 (May 21, 2008 - 11:24 AM)

That only leaves 280 million more to go (over half in the mozilla product line).
