1. Comment - A new SDK for OOXML aims to mobilize developers

   Except that .NET tools only officially work on Microsoft Platforms (and by officially I mean Mono notwithstanding).
   
   *Inter*-operability how? Competing office suites aren't written in .NET.
   
   This is interoperability of a different sort: allowing those already on the Microsoft platform the ability to use the OOXML format in an easier way, thus giving it traction.
   
   It does not assist competing products or alternate platforms.
   
   (Note: The Java and PHP APIs are getting closer to that kind of solution, but they aren't Microsoft-sponsored nor produced. They are simply mentioned.)
