   Review - Notepad++

   5.9.8 (Feb 19, 2012)

   This is one of the few programs I have open all day every day. I use it for creative writing, minimal interface means no unwanted distractions, for simple HTML stuff, making to do lists, notes, helping edit Excel. I also have the portable version which has been a life saver and it's free!

   Review - VLC (VideoLAN) for Windows (64-bit)

   Simply fantastic, this should come with every computer. It puts Windows Media Player to shame. The only thing I would like to see is an easier way to record, like pulling in my YouTube videos that I can't find the original files to anymore. Aside from that, 5 stars all the way!

   Review - TweetDeck

   I tried this out at the office and it was okay, refresh times were too long for my liking. I prefered HootSuite over this for professional uses, it simply covers more social networks. For personal use I prefer MultiMi it combines my email and social channels in one place. Unlike TweetDeck and Hootsuite, MultiMi is free. I'll be keeping that for personal accounts, if they make something for professionals then I think it may stand a chance against the big players.

   Review - RockMelt for Windows

   0.9.72.664 Beta 5 (Feb 19, 2012)

   Rockmelt was okay, but it just didn't win me over. I had been using MultiMi been I downloaded Rockmelt and it was interesting to compare the two. At the end of the day I just found MutliMi to be a better fit for me. The interface was easier for me and I could do exactly what I wanted without hunting through menus and multi layer settings.
