  1. Review - Download Accelerator Plus

    9.4.0.2 Beta (Feb 15, 2010)

This used to be a unique product many years ago. Now you can get something very similar and free called Orbit Downloader. You can dowload it in thefileforum if you desire.

  2. Review - MediaMonkey

    3.1.2.1271 Beta (Oct 7, 2009)

CyberDoc999 did you even try making a playlist? Its one of the easiest things to do. Just make a playlist... then drag songs to the playlist.... Compared to other media players you can sort and search better than anything else making it even easier to make a playlist. Before you review something please at least try it.

  3. Review - Ubuntu

    9.10 (Karmic Koala) Alpha 2 (Jun 12, 2009)

I have been very happy with Ubuntu as of late. I do find it amusing that people give a low rating because they don't know what Linux is. As for the comment saying it is a bad copy of Windows 98.... You are really showing your ignorance. If you mean a copy of Windows 98 that won't crash, runs very fast, and as in my case can run Windows 7 in a VMWare instance just as fast as it runs native... Yes. I guess you are right. I don't treat Linux as a gaming machine even though I do play some games on Linux. Last week I upgraded my motherboard/processor from a AMD X2 3500+ processor to a AMD quad core. So a full motherboard/CPU swap and linux booted up with the new hardware without blinking. Imagine doing that in Windows. I didn't even have to reboot after it got loaded up. My VMWare instance of Windows had to reboot even and that is emulated hardware.

  4. Review - WinSCP

    4.2.1 Beta (Feb 28, 2009)

    I love this program.

  5. Review - LEGO Digital Designer for Windows

    2.3.19 (Jan 3, 2009)

I give this 5 stars because roymccoy is an idiot. We have to throw the curve a little to compensate for the idiot factor here.

  6. Comment - Nearly 60% of Netflix customers plan to close their accounts [poll results]

    2.3.19 (Jul 14, 2011 - 10:30 AM)

I cancelled my account within a few minutes of the e-mail they sent out.

  7. Comment - How much more are you willing to pay Netflix?

    2.3.19 (Jul 12, 2011 - 5:33 PM)

It seems to have a very similar selection as Netflix has.

  8. Comment - How much more are you willing to pay Netflix?

    2.3.19 (Jul 12, 2011 - 4:55 PM)

I just went on and cancelled my account. I have an Amazon Prime account that I can watch movies on. With a Redbox down the street I can rent a movie a couple times a week and be paying less than what they are trying to get me to pay now. I really feel that doubling the price is out of bounds. This may really hurt Netflix in the long run.

  9. Comment - Pinta: Paint.NET clone for Linux and Mac OS X

    2.3.19 (Jun 7, 2011 - 11:26 AM)

One thing to keep in mind is that the MONO head developers at Novell have been let go, so, the future of MONO is very uncertain. Attachmate does not seem that dedicated to keeping it going. I would avoid getting attached to software that uses MONO until someone forks the project or Attachmate starts to show some interest again.

  10. Comment - AmazonLocal brings daily deals to Boise, Idaho, but not to you (yet)

    2.3.19 (Jun 4, 2011 - 11:38 AM)

For a second there I thought Joe did a little trick to show my local city and state in the title of his article. So far there is one place that has a deal on AmazonLocal. It is a place that I was looking to take my nephews sometime soon. The funny thing is my girlfriend called me yesterday mentioning she had seen this on AmazonLocal. She is not a computer nerd like I am so it does seem to be getting out to the "normal" people out there. Hopefully more places start to post offers on the site. I think this could be a great thing if enough content is on the site. I am on of those people that buy most everything from Amazon.com. I have a Prime account and have everything two-day shipped that I can. Paying half price for things from Amazon versus going local here is too big of a temptation. Also we have no Fry's, CompUSA, etc. As far as major chain stores we have BestBuy, which, I don't consider a computer store. Our local shop has higher prices than I am willing to pass onto my clients for computer parts. If the CEO of Fry's is reading this... Boise needs a store. ;P
