  1. Review - SolSuite 2013

    8.6 (Jul 11, 2008)

The best solitaire suite. Great interface and options. You can easily synchronize personal data from one PC to another and keep one single statistics (just a matter of copy some files).

Their FAQ states clearly that you have 1 year of updates but you may need to activate the software again.

    The price is also fair.

No problems so far with my two licenses of this game.

  2. Review - Mp3tag

    2.41a Beta (Jul 9, 2008)

It's a great, simple to use, always updated and reliable mp3 tagger. It even made me change from a shareware I was using some years ago.

Note that even Microsoft has a time frame to support an operation system. You can't blame the author to stop supporting a 8 years old OS. In fact is the lack of the OS updates that turns most recent programs incompatible.

This is an elegant, reliable and works with all aplications that I need without any problem at all. I just wish a Vista version!

Memory footprint? If you have a really low end system (256MB RAM or less) then maybe you should worry about each application you install. Other than that make a test: start the application and if you note that your PC performance is really bad compared to what it was before than you have a problem, than you can say the application uses too much RAM or things like these. If not than you're probably don't know what your saying and you probably don't know that system itself manage the memory usage and not the application itself.

Of course I'm not talking about an application with bugs... Well, make the test first before stating things that doesn't matter at all.

PS: this kind of unjustified worry about RAM started in the 90's when RAM was too expensive.

    Great program!

I just miss a way to set current displayed image as the wallpaper.

    Another USA only service...

  7. Comment - DRM-less Amazon MP3 store now complete with Sony BMG

    2.1 (Jan 10, 2008 - 6:56 PM)

From Amazon.com: "Amazon MP3 is currently only available to US customers"

That's sad for those who'd like to legally purchase and download affordable music.

Anyway, the Amazon catalog is even more impressive.

  8. Comment - XP SP3 Beta Preview Out, Last Update to XP

    2.1 (Oct 6, 2007 - 5:53 PM)

I agree. Vista is great and stable in a new hardware as well as was XP back in 2001.

  9. Comment - Amazon MP3 Music Store Opens Today

    2.1 (Sep 25, 2007 - 3:33 PM)

    Another only USA feature:

    "...
As required by our Digital Content providers, Digital Content will, unless otherwise designated, be available only to customers located in the United States.
    ..."

    http://www.amazon.com/gp...F8&nodeId=200154280

I think they still want that people outside the USA purchase CDs instead mp3.

    That's bad news.

  10. Comment - Microsoft Closes Vista Upgrade Loophole

    2.1 (Feb 3, 2007 - 1:22 PM)

OK testman. There's a solution but that's not my point. I'll be forced to buy a full when I have the right to get the upgrade. That's not right. That's all.
