Actually, I'd argue that for some games the Wii controller (Although perfectly adaptable on a computer) or in fact anything similar, is superior to the keyboard and mouse.
Let's take tennis as a rather obvious example, it's more natural to actually swing the controller than it is to move the mouse and press a button. Heck I'd love to replace the mouse in some of the PC FPS with a WiiMote and use that in combination with a keyboard which could be an interesting combination.
Personally my order is:
1. PC
2. Wii
3. XBOX
4. PS3

The mario series alone has sold over 280.1 million copies compared to halo's 14.3 million and GTA's 58.9 million.
So that's 280.1 million vs 73.2 million combined. Which is almost 4 times as many copies sold. Not to mention that Mario Galaxy will easily boost that number _FAR_ higher.
Now if we take the chart of console sales on that site (http://www.vgchartz.com/) we'll notice that the XBOX360 has only sold 1.03 million more systems even though it was release almost ONE FULL YEAR earlier (22 Nov 2005 vs 19 Nov 2006).
Nintendo is going a new way, namely going for playability and fun instead of just better and better graphics. As there will come a time when graphics are no longer possible to be upgraded as you'll reach the limit of the hardware, or the person using it.
The only thing limiting playability and fun are the imagination of the people designing these new Nintendo systems such as the Wii and the DS. And In all honesty I'd rather have fun games, that games which look great but lack content.

Ugh, is it that hard to to stay polite in an argument?
Also, none of the listed things have anything to do with security, and yes. It's a PEBKAC problem.
