The best multi-protocol client ever!! The best on Linux and my choice on Windows.
Better than Trillian (that has stopped in time, yeah I know about Astra!) and Miranda IM (that you need too many plugins to get a decent program overall)....

I don't like Gnutella but from time to time to have a client for it is handy so from all I've seen this is the most close to LimeWire, the de facto standard, (it's based on it) without so much crap!

It's a bit hard for starters but I find myself happy using only Columns UI with a costumised layout. You know you can make it look awesome kicking iTunes and Windows Media Player asses in aesthetics! But for that you'll need to learn how to code...
