  1. Review - WinSCP

    4.1.3 Beta (May 26, 2008)

WinSCP is the best SFTP client that I have used.

I personally don't like the commander style interface so I changed it via the options menu to be a standard window.

There are other clients out there but WinSCP's ability to work alongside putty makes it my favourite.

  2. Review - BOINC for Windows

    5.10.38 (Development) (Jan 17, 2008)

boinc is truely an awesome concept, I run boinc on my desktop while downloading files, the thing that I like most about it is that you can participate in multiple projects and only run the one client. Then you can specify the priority of the projects e.g. Seti@home 80% ABC@home 20% etc..

Also if your favourite project is not running at the moment e.g. Seti@home has gone offline temporarily, it will pick up the slack by working harder on another project you are involved on.

as for the trolls heckling the person who made the comment about leaving the computers on all the time, what are you people thinking, it's a valid point and if you had half a brain you would not be posting stupid reply's like that.

  3. Review - Apache3

    3.1.0 (Jan 8, 2008)

I saw apache3 and I thought it meant the webserver...

    very disappointing

get a new name for your product

  4. Review - Apple iTunes for Windows

    7.3.2 (Aug 3, 2007)

    Lol @ the trolls

iTunes does use more resources than some other players thats true.

However those people that complain about the interface need to get their head's read, the interface is intuitive, responsive and progressive.

    also

How on earth do the non iTunes users of the iPod do firmware upgrades?

  5. Review - nVIDIA GeForce Drivers for Windows

    162.22 Beta (Jul 11, 2007)

    Umm no they mean 162.22

as for the troll that said they don't download without a changelog

    try reading the release notes.

    http://us.download.nvidi...eware_Release_Notes.pdf

Now I haven't downloaded this version yet, when i get home I will, I downloaded the previous beta had some interesting results with video playback but my game performance certainly was better.

  6. Comment - Without native apps for Windows Phone 7, Mozilla cancels Fennec for WM6 also

    162.22 Beta (Mar 23, 2010 - 7:21 PM)

Seems you are confused as to what a native app is

Fennec for WM6 is a native app, it runs on the OS without the need to be run as a web application or a Silverlight app

The point of this article is that Windows Phone 7 is just limiting apps so that you have to write them for the interpreted language of Silverlight, not the native language of the OS.

  7. Comment - 10 things Microsoft did right in 2010 (so far)

    162.22 Beta (Mar 8, 2010 - 9:03 PM)

    Also

  8. Comment - PC gaming service Steam ported to Mac, lets users buy titles on both platforms at no extra cost

    162.22 Beta (Mar 8, 2010 - 5:23 PM)

the new steam client doesnt use IE so thats probably going to help running under wine

  9. Comment - Hulu 'losing' Stewart and Colbert is only a big deal to Hulu's ad revenue

    162.22 Beta (Mar 4, 2010 - 5:26 PM)

As an Australian I am dissapointed that I cannot access Hulu without doing something creative first, however ABC in australia (government owned broadcaster no advertisements) provides iview which is totally free and has no advertisiments, Colbert is on there and as of next tuesday The Daily Show will be too.

oh an iView is compatible with the PS3 so Its easy to watch on the big screen.

  10. Comment - Microsoft: No free Win7 yet, but the option is left open

    162.22 Beta (Feb 13, 2009 - 8:34 PM)

    ignorances hey
