Great decoder for those looking to get better quality out of their PVR recordings. I've used it in both SageTV and MCE2005 with improved results over native decoders. Head over to some of the PVR forums (sagetv.com or thegreenbutton.com) to get more details on how people like the quality and some comparisons with other decoders (like the InterVideo).

Concept is good, provides a nice level of simple features and attempts to be application agnostic. The sticky feature works nicely when it does work. Could easily replace my current password manager if it didn't have the issues listed below.
Current Issues I've seen with 1.2b:
- Doesn't work properly when attepmting to auto find any windows inside of Firefox, big detractor for the rising number of Firefox users.
- Windows don't popup correctly on a dual-monitor setup.
- The use of the English language isn't the best. There are a lot of captions that read a little funky.

Hmm, I don't store any evil plans on my computer but I *do* store all my financial documents, tax history, ssn, credit card numbers, sensitive company documents, medical history, etc. on my machine.
Aside from identify theft, my biggest worry would be when the contruction workers across the street cut my cable/dsl line or a hardware failure in the switching center takes my connection down. Or what about when you hit up the hotel/convention center and oopps, their wireless is down or everyone is limited to dial-up speeds.
Sounds ok for non-critical things but as a primary location for files I have grave doubts.

andrewfit,
They are available, which piece would you like? I develop in VS against both SQL and MySql and they feel exactly the same. The .NET DataProvider for MySql is just as robust as the SQL Server one and even includes a DBBI-style class.

Seems there are some nice features in Tiger from the reviews but Philip Schiller really needs to get out onto the web more, a lot of the functionality in Tiger already exists in third-party apps on various platforms.
Too bad they embedded Spotlight into the OS, now they are going to get sued by other desktop search companies and advocates for locking out the competition. Oh wait, that's what would happen if it was Microsoft. *grin*
Hope the OS does well, competition can only make everyone strive to be better. I'm guessing for the few features of the 200 that can't be had in third-party apps today new ones will be born in a much quicker time-frame than "years to come".
