   Review - SpamBayes

   I've used this for a couple of years. In theory it should improve over time as it refines its filters.
   
   But in fact, its effectiveness (very high to begin with) has dropped markedly in recent months - because word-by-word Bayesian analysis is readily fooled by spam messages with random collections of common words - and there seem to be an awful lot of those around these days.

   Listed as Freeware - Wrong! When opened, the download demands a registration code that "should have been emailed to you when you downloaded from our site" - and I could find no mention of how to get such a code from the Serif site.
