How about we rename this to: Bootskin of Death ?
Get it? For a program that isn't supposed to mess with your boot process if it doesn't work, just have to say, that's not true. If it doesn't work, you won't boot at all, in my experience. Just say no.
1.3 RC3 (Apr 16, 2004)
Thanks, yes I see that. Just lamenting that the program seems to be getting a little top heavy, like so many others. Seems they keep adding bells and whistles trying to be 'it all', instead of focusing on a particular issue.
I still recommend it, and install it on clients' boxes that have been online for awhile with no protection. It sure fixes a lot of internet / browser related issues.
56.64 WHQL (Mar 16, 2004)
These seem to have fixed the UT 2004 jerkiness my son and I have been experiencing on the new UT Demo. We were wondering wtf was going on, first thought it was our boxen, but both units did the same thing. Works well now, it seems. (can't wait for the new version to be on our tables...;0)
7.5.0 Gold (Dec 18, 2003)
Nothing new here. It might be the 'original tabbed browser', but that doesn't make it better than the others. I've been using MyIE2 for a couple years, and it has a much more user friendly interface than NetCaptor. For instance, in MyIE, to open a new tab from a link, you simply hold down the left mouse button on a link and wiggle it, and voila, new tab. In NetCaptor, you have to right click on the link, navigate to Open in New Window. This is the same criticism I have of Firebird, btw. Big difference, MyIE2 is totally free. Time to uninstall NC Gold. Thanks.

Just d/l the Mozilla Installer and Comparator opens, but with an error:
Microsoft .NET Framework
An unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will be shut down immediately.
Length cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: length.
Then, clicking Continue, the app opens.
Getting there, though. ;)

Trillian? and 'please don't mention it' ?
HA. It's the only proggie I use in WinXP Pro. It handles: ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, AIM, and IRC. In one simple interface.
Sending files? Via email.
Lack of emoticon smilies? who cares?
Does it work? Heck Yes.

Down to 20 to 40 reboots a day? LAUGH OUT LOUD IN YOUR FACE.
You either have NO idea what you're talking about, or your machine is so screwed up, you NEED to get a mac.
I never have to reboot my XP or 2K unless it's an update, etc, and I'm no genius in computer engineering, just a normal above average user.
Maybe you're confusing XP with ME?
Multitasking: is that when you have like 5 or more programs open and running at the same time, like burning a CD, being online, (posting in forums), Photoshop/Dreamweaver/Fireworks open at the same time? Hmm. I do this all the time, and have no issues at ALL.

Just curious as to how many folks have built their own Mac, like I just built two custom full blown AMD XP systems with DDRram, dual hard drives, 512mb ram, etc, running WinXP Pro and Win2K Pro multiboot?
I have absolutely NO problems with crashing in the NT kernel o/s's like I did in the 9x series, so that's no even an issue anymore.
And, hmmm. let's see, guess I won't even get into software availiblity.
Pretty much rest my case.
