  1. Review - Opera for Windows

    9.22 Build 8801 (Jul 19, 2007)

"Besides, ACID2 still gets really screwed up if you change 'page width' and 'fit to width'. GG Opera"

You know that it's not supposed to rerender on parameter changes? Read the ACID2 site before making yourself look silly.

"Note: When taking the test, you should use the default settings of the browser you are testing. Changing the zoom level, minimum font size, applying a fit-to-width algorithm, or making other changes may alter the rendition of the Acid2 page without this constituting a failure in compliance. (Added 21 July 2006) "

  2. Review - PlayStation Portable (PSP) Firmware

    3.40 (Apr 21, 2007)

What a sad bunch of losers all these people are, says alot of the type of vistor to Betanews, when they have to rate PSP firmware as 1* because some hacker made a hacked version.

Dark Alex is basically riding on the back of these firmware releases, using Sony code. If your rating of the official code is 1*, then so is his..

    Wankers.

  3. Review - Opera for Windows

    9.20 Build 8746 Beta (Mar 16, 2007)

Warning, this weeks build has a nasty crashing issue, if you have voice enabled.

Be warned, weeklies are only for the brave..

    dr_millennius, Weeklies ARE alphas..

  4. Review - Araxis Merge

    2007.3178 Preview (Feb 21, 2007)

Does the job, but outragously expensive.

Try Beyond Compare, seems to do just as much, most of the time better, and a fraction of the cost.. www.scootersoftware.com

  5. Review - Opera for Windows

    9.20 Build 8713 Beta (Feb 5, 2007)

Best browser around, by a long margin. Anyone that thinks Firefox is better featured or faster is deluding themselves..

    Opera Tip of the day:

Closed a tab by accident? Simply undelete the tab from the Closed bin, there it is, even retains form data.

Want to lock a tab to prevent it being closed, right click on thr tab, and lock it (alone with plenty of other useful tab tricks.

I don't see Firefox or IE implementing any of these...

  6. Comment - PS3 Sales Improve, But Still Last Place

    9.20 Build 8713 Beta (Aug 24, 2007 - 11:19 AM)

    So 360 has a 30% decline in sales, and PS3 has a 60% increase.

Perhaps the tide is turning. There does seem to be some great games in the next 2 months on PS3.

  7. Comment - Sony to Bring TV Programming to PS3, PSP

    9.20 Build 8713 Beta (Aug 24, 2007 - 10:45 AM)

I think that was his point..

  8. Comment - Sony to Bring TV Programming to PS3, PSP

    9.20 Build 8713 Beta (Aug 23, 2007 - 6:22 PM)

    "£130 + 17.5% VAT isn't £120. Is it?"

Alot closer than the £300 you said they cost. You even claimed this price was still subsidised by Sky.

  9. Comment - Sony to Bring TV Programming to PS3, PSP

    9.20 Build 8713 Beta (Aug 23, 2007 - 5:54 PM)

"£170 for a 2nd or 3rd class reject. You be lucky now!
    LMAO."

Well, I got one a few weeks back, it's the latest issue HD box "4E3007", with the silent Western Digital HDD.

Does htis sound like a 2nd or 3rd class reject? Chances are, it's even newer than yours ( the final number is the box revision 7 is 7th revision).

And box is confirmed £130+VAT to Sky installers, it's well documented on Digital Spy.

If you got ripped of by paying £300 for a old issue box, that's your problem to take up with Sky. It's not £300 worth of kit.

  10. Comment - Sony to Bring TV Programming to PS3, PSP

    9.20 Build 8713 Beta (Aug 23, 2007 - 5:07 PM)

As usual, your talking crap. SKYHD boxes can be had, new on ebay for £170. unsubsidised.

They are £120 trade. 2 HD tuners, 300GBHDD. Go figure.

Just because YOU think they won't be HD (depsite the specs saying so, and despite the PS3 being the only true HD console on the market right now), does not make it untrue.
