  1. Review - cFosSpeed

    3.01 Build 1139 Beta (Jun 26, 2006)

This is interesting software; although, I have yet to see it at its best just yet as I've not played any games in a while.

For anyone that has not checked the developer's web site, it is currently on special. (~$11 USD) (I make no money off of this nor do I work for the company nor even remotely related to them.)

  2. Review - Opera for Windows

    9.00 Build 8502 (Jun 26, 2006)

    To: Paul Skinner; coover

To quote what I found from the Opera forums:

"We have now replaced the Windows installer files on the server with a repack (build 8502) that should address some installer problems. There are no other changes to the package."

  3. Review - Kaspersky Anti-Virus

    6.0.1.312 (May 14, 2006)

    Re: (Terumo)

No, this is no a warez site.

The activastion keys are for BETA TESTING and if you were even paying any attention at all you would have noticed they are DIRECTLY from the DEVELOPER of the software!

  4. Review - ProtoWall

    2.01 Build 7 Beta (Apr 8, 2006)

For its intended use, I think this is a great application.

This allows you to filter unwanted communication with addresses for any peer-to-peer application that may or may not have IP filtering built in.

While not in a P2P application, you could use a less restrictive set of IP filter rules for general Internet usage.

Overall I think it is a great software application and I'm happy there is finally an update for it!

  5. Review - K-Lite Codec Pack Full

    2.49 (Jun 20, 2005)

Awesome collection of codecs; it allows me to play just about any media file I download without a hitch.

A+ and 5 Stars all around. Thanks to the authors for maintaining the project as well. :)

  6. Comment - Dish first to deliver 1080p HD television programming

    2.49 (Jul 31, 2008 - 8:54 PM)

Hell yes, that's how we do cable TV in the U.S. ...pixelate the already crap service with some premium crap pixels in 1080p crap vision like there's no tomorrow (for Comcast at least)!
    LOL :)

  7. Comment - Innovative MP3 speakers to 'leave the shelf' for living rooms in July

    2.49 (Jun 29, 2008 - 9:07 AM)

"With its high wattage, the M812 is loud enough to function as an alternative to conventional living room audio speakers, Beck said. RMS wattage is 80W, and peak wattage is 160W, according to system spec sheets."

A high wattage system of only 80W RMS with peaks up to only 160W? Really now, they could have done better than this, and to call this "high wattage" for any sound system is, in my opinion, very misleading to the unsuspecting consumer.

(I've been spoiled by high-end systems; now if only I had the budget to afford such expensive hardware I'd be all set for audio bliss. LOL)

  8. Comment - AT&T will add more HD content to U-verse

    2.49 (Dec 19, 2007 - 8:57 PM)

It's nice to see correct information come out one way or another. I've been digging around trying to find out more and what I've discovered thus far corroborates with what you've said.

I found these two resources the most helpful:

  9. Comment - Best Buy Sued Over Dual Web Sites

    2.49 (May 27, 2007 - 2:35 AM)

    My thoughts on that:

Amazon, OK, but Newegg is not the end-all solution for online electronics purchases. I am rather tired of hearing morons think Newegg is so great; I've bought from them and will in the future, but I would not blindly trust them as a sole source without shopping around first.

Try using the following to get a better idea of what online stores have the best price; many of them list their prices on sites such as the following two:
