  1. Review - BIOS Agent

    3.64 (May 7, 2007)

This is useful simply becuase it saves you from having to dig into your BIOS to find the version or quickly hit the pause key as your machine posts.

  2. Review - Windows Live Mail

    8.0.1172 Beta (Nov 18, 2006)

I think the new interface is slick looking. Very intuitive, but I also agree that they should allow you to retrieve mail from more sources that just GMail and AO-Hell..

  3. Review - Microsoft Security Release ISO Image

    May 2006 (May 10, 2006)

Forget this and go with Autopatcher...Not only do you get critical and non-critical updates but you also get some useful tweaks as well...

  4. Review - Google Talk

    1.0.0.64 Beta (Aug 24, 2005)

This is exactly what an Instant Messenger should be. Basic & not bloated. If you want more, than stick with MSN or Yahoo. Personally I don't see the need for bloated plug-ins like MSN Plus. Do you really use all of the features....NO, and if you do, than you need to spend more time outdoors...AWAY FROM YOUR COMPUTER!!!! File transfers is something I neither love or hate, add it, don't add it, I can live with or without it. Oh and if you saw the screen shot, there is an option to check your Gmail. Lets hope that Google spend time developing useful plug-ins.

  5. Review - K-Lite Mega Codec Pack

    1.34 (Jul 5, 2005)

I will give it a 4 just because it sound cool to me. Anytime you are able to get rid of RealCrime and QuickCrime I will applaude that. But I have to admit I am not very familiar w/ this codec pack. Does it allow these files types to be viewed in Windows Media Player or it's own stand alone player of some sort.

  6. Comment - EarthLink to Cities: Pay for Wi-Fi Setup

    1.34 (Sep 3, 2007 - 12:10 PM)

Why would Earthlink be the logical choice for something of this magnitude??? They have struggled to compete in the broadband market. They were revolutionary when dial-up was king, but now that broadband is in, they were left in the cold. It is my suspicion that this little endeavor is what got them in the trouble they are in..

  7. Comment - Did the PlayStation 3 Truly Launch on Friday?

    1.34 (Nov 18, 2006 - 9:38 AM)

This is crazy. It is a game!!! I cannot believe that it has gone this far. But the worst story I heard was on Yahoo news about a women who was 5 months pregnant standing in line for her husband who, by the way was not there with her.

  8. Comment - HP Slashes Jobs, Pays CIO $15.3 Million

    1.34 (Jul 18, 2005 - 4:56 PM)

I agree w/ almost all of these posts. The only good that comes out of situations like these is the company going under. HP is obviously in trouble. Laying off some 20,000 employees over the last 5 years speaks volumes about the current situation. Their only option at this point is to keep over-paying some a$$hole to come in and see if he can turn things around, but with HP always being the last to embrace new technology, I doubt they will survive the next big technology craze. Put it this way if you needed to save a billion dollars, you are in trouble...

  9. Comment - What Phishers Know That You Don't

    1.34 (Apr 29, 2005 - 12:59 PM)

There is a good plug-in for FirFox called spoof-stix. It is a toolbar that tells you what site you are on reguardless of what URL you typed in the address bar....
