AnyDVD is one of my most used and most valued programs I have on my PC. I was lucky enough to get the lifetime license right before they changed their policy, but with it's ease of use and many updates- it's easily worth every dollar.
Until next time,

The latest version of Thunderbird is much faster- processing seems to be faster, as well as the searches. I've been using Thunderbird for the last couple of years. Thunderbird needs tighter integration with calendar, tasks and reminders.
And now that there's a XOBNI clone for Thunderbird; I don't look at changing for quite some time. I've everything I need...

OMG this program is horrible. Why even bother releasing it anymore?!
Can't your time be better spent doing public service?
2.4.2.0 (Jan 15, 2009)
Can't beat it, never fails, works simple, free and USB portable.
N'uf said- Done and Done...
3.0.1 RC2 (Jan 15, 2009)
Consistently impressive. A marvel of open source effort and execution. Although it lacks a 'Outlook' it's a direct competitor to Microsoft office and it's bloated code. [Windows] Evolution could fix that real easy.
I love the portable version and the use of extensions now. Being able to post directly to WORDPRESS/BLOG from OO Write is nice.
I agree with a patching system, 140mb downloads get old, but as long as you've a hs connection, it's not that bad.
Well worth it. Can't beat the price...

The use of a browser, and which one is best, is a never ending personal argument; which I don't debate on, but my position on Chrome is that it's simplistic, fast and reports show it's secure, but I don't use it, and in almost 2yrs my site stats only show that Chrome is 4% of my audience. And while I say Chrome is fast; when it starts adding extensions I'll revisit the topics of 'fast' and 'how much memory' it uses. We'll see how long those things last...
[smiling] anything but Internet Explorer...

If UAC doesn't help then WTF? It's supposed to help, but with it on or off, makes no difference, it's a POS; why bother?!
3.0.1 RC2 (Nov 3, 2009 - 5:16 PM)
@smarterthanyou, Your serious? So of all the things a smartphone can do means nothing and the ONE thing that defines it, to claim the title 'phone', is the fact it can make phone calls? I don't think so.. They're all super small computers that can make phone calls...
With all due respect, your name sake doesn't suite you very well...
3.0.1 RC2 (Nov 3, 2009 - 5:08 PM)
Ubuntu has gotten so much better over the past few years. I took my 5 year old laptop and slapped Ubuntu on it and it's like it's a new machine machine again. I loaded FLASH and WINE and I'm browsing and running Windows programs on Ubuntu... all this from a 650mb CD, and installation in about 20 minutes. Very happy thus far.
3.0.1 RC2 (Nov 3, 2009 - 5:03 PM)
Internet Explorer is dead... move on.
