   Restore started on second attempt and has been reloading for half an hour so looks like the recovery worked but had to roll back to the previous software client'

   No need to get a new one, My Playbook is very handy, I can take it out back and do quick replies to email plus check facebook or the internet for what ever useless reason needs to be done then. In the livingroom it has replaced the netbook till our next flight.
   I don't find it a fad or basic tool, but it sure is handy to have around.
   Heck, why would you replace one every 6 months, There are a lot of folks out there who have jumped on the band wagon and happy with their current model.
