  1. Comment - Revolution to Sell for Less Than $300

    (Jan 22, 2006 - 12:06 AM)

Nintendo will appeal to kids for all forseen future. Nintendo;however, has finally placed the last nail in their coffin with this "revolutionary" controller. It's an excellent concept. I simply don't believe it won't lag or respond fluidly. I'd love to try it, but I'd probably have a sore arm within an hour. They should have a backup conventional controller.

And no HDTV support!? Maybe to a kid that's not important, until they see their big brother playing a 360 or ps3 on their HDTV in their living room. About half of the American households will have an HDTV by 2007. Kids love fun games, but "pretty" images also greatly appeal to them. They've finally sealed their fate.

Too bad giant corporations had to take over, huh?

  2. Comment - Spring 2006 PS3 Release in Doubt

    (Jan 20, 2006 - 5:51 PM)

flash, you speak like an unfortunate. Ps3 is one of the biggest blunders ever, it'll sell b/c of all the fans it's acquired. Just be prepared to be disappointed. Sony had all the hype about the "emotion engine" processor on the ps2, and look at how the original xbox showed that was all bulls***.

The 360 resembles nothing of a box as the first did. Enjoy the grill looking ps3 w/it's boomerang controller, wait though, thats only a CONCEPTUAL DESIGN, I had forgotten. Very few crash, yes, simply b/c consoles are becoming more and more like PCs. The ps3 will be even more like one.

Apparantly, it was ready enough, at least, to launch, as you may know it already has. The ps3;however, isn't even ready enough to show what it will look like, or actual gameplay demonstrations.

They might want to just wait to release the ps3 on the next next generation, they'll have a better shot. It's crap now, well actually, its almost nonexistent, it's a lotta talk w/no game. Say what you say buddy.

  3. Comment - Spring 2006 PS3 Release in Doubt

In case you've been on a deserted island, tri, you might have heard the 360 already has had a bang, a huge one. Sony isn't living up to it's word. Blu-ray has more capability, but you may have also missed this news while on your island: they won't support more than 25 Gigs until a very long time after it's released, years possibly.

Sony is sweating right now, maybe laughing foolishly as Nero did as Rome burned, because thats what's happening to them.

They'll be lucky if they get it out by Christmas 06. They don't have more than a "conceptual design" going for them now. Hope all this flood of news isn't too much for you coming back to civilization.

  4. Comment - Spring 2006 PS3 Release in Doubt

    (Jan 20, 2006 - 5:20 PM)

Actually, the Xbox 360 is being released everywhere almost simultaneously. Faster than any other console in history. It has broken all sales records for fastest selling system. MS has got almost every developer in it's pocket; also has acquired Bungie and Rare for exclusive games such as Halo 3. I owned a PS2 for a while and was very disappointed w/the quality and effort put forth.

Rockstar has agreed to release GTA 4 simultaneously w/the 360. Sony's exclusive days are over regarding that. Developers also say 360 is easier to develop for. There will be about 100 games available for 360 when Ps3 launches w/a meager list of games that don't show full potential, enjoy playing your old games instead of new innovative games for a while.

The blu-ray is the better quality format;however HISTORICALLY, regular consumers opt for the cheaper and seemingly more reasonable option. We gamers don't, general public does. An HD-DVD player will cost $400 initially, a blu-ray $1,200. Which do you think an ordinary Joe will pick? Sony hasn't learned it's lesson from Beta-max.

The 360 has a sound network already setup, and is free! Sony is even considering putting an internet browser in their "network" they supposedly are creating, this is a hackers dream.

Sony posted it's first overall annual loss this year, they're praying for this system to work, but they're left w/delays and empty promises. Ps2 was the pinnacle of their success in games, and their twilight. MS will take over this market just as Sony did from Sega years and years ago, HISTORY repeats itself.
