    4.6 (Jun 29, 2011)

Major vulnerability in the included Zip-handling library, which the developers are ignoring. They ignore all email, in fact. Perhaps they're imaginary.

Please link directly to the RK-free Zip archive download. -5 stars for spyware.

  3. Review - WinZip for Windows

    12.1 Build 8497 (May 13, 2009)

There's just no point at all in paying money for this. WinZip needs to find some killer features to differentiate it from 7-Zip and WinRAR.

  4. Review - ReNamer

    5Dec2008 Beta (Jan 18, 2009)

Just about the perfect app. Every feature I could possibly want, and darned small.

@Aegis69: Hate to point this out, but if you think back to XPSP2 and previous, there's a required download before you can use Windows/Microsoft Update: it's Microsoft's own in-house binary delta patch applier. It was written to make patches much smaller.

Crack open any HotFix, Service Pack, or any other kind of patch, and you'll see entire DLLs, EXEs, and the rest-- sometimes multiple versions for multiple SP revs. Binary deltas? Missing in action. I haven't seen binary deltas since RTPatch on DOS-- and I once saw someone use RTPatch for Windows.
