Don Juan: it's only because up to now it used to be packed executable (it was smaller but took longer to launch), now it's regular executable. In my opinion this way it's better because fast launch is more important to me than a file size. I often need to quickly launch Process Explorer (for example to kill some process that uses 100% CPU, where launching of any app is very slow) and this is where speed matter much more than some file size.

yes, it became a nagware with those popup windows ... and update doesn't work ... but otherwise does it's job right
6.4.8.7 (Nov 28, 2005)
next time pack it with some even more obscure program so we have to install another 2 programs just to unpack it
2.5.10 (Nov 21, 2005)
looks like now it's a freeware. really great and unique program .. if you get to understand how to use it .. which took me about an hour :)
1.5 Build 95 (Nov 9, 2005)
I stopped using maxthon after 2 years mainly because lack of integration with various useful plugins (google toolbar, google desktop).
I switched to firefox though I don't like it that much and it's still quite unstable ... but with growing number of useful extensions it's just getting better than maxthon in my opinion. It also got recognized by Google so now even before mentioned plugins work in firefox (but not in Maxthon).
"Plugins" for Maxthon are not really plugins ...
