  1. Review - Freemake Video Converter

    4.0.0.15 (Apr 16, 2013)

This is a great program. I used it before and unlike other none-free converters it will sync video and sound perfectly during conversion.

And unlike what some people say It does not force you to install anything except the program itself. I update it regularly and no Spyware/Adware on my computer. But it is only Internet Installer, that is true. If you are tech savvy, you can copy actual downloaded installation file for further use.

One star deduction for fileforum itself. Download link points to the older version of the program.

  2. Review - Glary Utilities

    3.00.84 Beta (Apr 2, 2013)

New beta is step backward from simple and easy to look application it is now. I guess they are trying to be edgy like others.

  3. Review - TV-Browser for Windows

    3.3 (Mar 21, 2013)

Why would you need it? There are plenty of websites that have TV schedules. It is also in Java which should be banned by now for the worst record in software security history.

  4. Review - Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE)

    8 Build b40 Preview Release (May 28, 2012)

Is not needed anymore unless you use Java standalone apps. I deleted JRE a week ago and had no problems with browsing.

  5. Review - Adobe Flash Player for Windows (Non-IE)

    11.3.300.250 Beta 3 (May 16, 2012)

Latest beta is horrible. If you want open few websites simultaneously and they have flash videos embedded, flash will crash most of the time.

  6. Comment - Organize Windows 7's taskbar into Bins

    11.3.300.250 Beta 3 (May 4, 2011 - 11:58 PM)

I am using it currently and it does have some bugs. But it is definitely useful if you have vertical sidebar. About cost. I wish they would do the same thing Stardock did with Fences: provide freeware(limited) and shareware(full) versions.

  7. Comment - Google removes 21 apps from Android Market over malware

    11.3.300.250 Beta 3 (Mar 2, 2011 - 11:38 PM)

The only thing I am surprised is that this stuff does not happen much more often. I would have expected 10%-25% malware penetration.

  8. Comment - Without auto-update, 2 million users downloaded IE9 RC

    11.3.300.250 Beta 3 (Feb 16, 2011 - 6:00 PM)

I downloaded it only because I love to have all of my software up to date. I have no intension to use it extensively though. It was and will be backup for Firefox.

  9. Comment - Say, whatever happened to that 1 million Verizon iPhones sold announcement?

    11.3.300.250 Beta 3 (Feb 15, 2011 - 10:19 PM)

Now it is 4.5%. Updated every 15 minutes. Could get to 1 million by the end of the week. I hope Apple did not ramp up manufacturing. It is obvious that everybody is waiting for iPhone 5.

  10. Comment - Increasing backlash over Microsoft deal a problem for Nokia

    11.3.300.250 Beta 3 (Feb 15, 2011 - 10:12 PM)

Symbian is an outdated OS. MeeGo development stalled (nobody to blame but themselves). Continue waiting for MeeGo to mature is to lose two or more years.

Other choice is to borrow somebody else's OS.
1)Android - Become one vendor among many.
    2)Microsoft - Take huge risk.
3)WebOS - Take even larger risk.

As you see Nokia does not have any safe choices.
