Works exactly as described on an hp dv9000 running Vista. Program displays more than one can learn by taking the computer apart, including CPU core temps and frequencies, battery wear data and drive SMART information. Program runs without errors or crashes. Only area for improvement in my opinion is the 'Config' screen could use tooltip descriptions for the settings.

I've worked on many PC that belong to other people, some of which have long-since expired antivirus signature subscriptions.
The latest version found FURootKit.I on a machine that had current antivirus software installed.
Free software that works as designed. Excellent.
2.0 Build 3 Beta 2 (Apr 6, 2004)
This program just saved me a lot of time! I have about 50 PC's in a Windows domain that (used to) have different local machine passwords. While logged in as 'Administrator' of the domain, it only took a few seconds to synchronize all local machine 'Administrator' account passwords.
3.76.4 Preview (Aug 28, 2003)
Not only is this is the best free system info program for a home user I've ever seen, it also makes my job much easier as a network administrator of over 50 PC's. The hardware and software audit features have saved me many hours of busy work finding out what's really 'out there' on my network, and I can check in seconds to see which PC have or need a Windows patch or virus signature update. As an audit tool, this software compares favorably to programs costing up to $1000 for fifty users.

Finally, a classy way to pay for free software. I've enjoyed NetCaptor for a couple years by disabling the moving ads in the top of the window, but now I can use this awesome piece of software guilt free. The tiny little text ads at the bottom of the screen are a very small price to pay for this browser.

When arguing a case for the copying and/or downloading of "music" that you do not own, try putting the word "software" in the same argument and see if it flies.

. . . . how many SETI@Home work-units per second it could crunch?

These new Celerons are almost as fast as AMD's new Durons! And they're more expensive, too!

Uhm... try www.odigo.com?
